Jon always getting me thinking. I especially love that the phrases came up because one of the most unique and interesting things about chatting with him is that moment where you can see that he’s grabbing a phrase or even coming up with one sometimes

UFC 1 was in 1993, I said that we didn't really see it in the US in the 80s. ESPECIALLY in Wisconsin.

@@utopiawi that’s not what you said. You said that it wasn’t in America. Which is fine, you were wrong. It’s weird that you were wrong and instead of saying, that you were wrong or misspoke, you just lied about what you said. You literally posted a video of it man

Mr. Stockwell was my Judo Sensei when I was a little kid. The most valuable lesson he taught me was to use my opponent's momentum against him. That, and balance is the key. Not only in martial arts, but also in life in general.

I’m really scared and not sure how to get legs over. I can sort of do a regular forward roll (kneeling on floor with head down) but always fall to the side, just cannot get the momentum.

Learnt this today… some additional pointers the coach advised to help with this is to pin his free arm with your leg incase he tries to clasp his hands together for defense. You can also sprawl from north south before you do the finish…
